  • First Downs: The offense gets four "downs" (plays) to advance the ball past  midfield. If successful, they earn a fresh set of downs to score.
  • Each team will have 25 seconds to put the ball into play. Delay of game is loss of  down.
  • Offensive team is responsible for retrieving & returning the ball to the official. Any  delay from offense will result in delay of game – loss of down with exception of 1  timeout per team.
  • Pool Play - Records from pool play will determine seeding for the playoffs. All teams  will make the playoffs. • An interception is awarded 3 points for the defense, and they will start with the ball  at the 40-yard line on offense

Coaching:

  • A. One offensive coach allowed on the field-must be positioned behind the  offensive huddle - No Defensive Coaches are allowed on the field. If the official calls  the offensive coach for interference during the play, It will be a dead ball at the spot  of interference and loss of Down. The offensive coach must stay out of the way after  ball is snapped!

Teams will be seeded starting with Win Percentage  - see -the criteria on the last page for tied records.

Passing & Running

  • No-Run Zones: To prevent power running in tight spaces, no-run zones are  typically placed 5 yards before midfield and 5 yards before the end zones. In  these zones, the offense must pass the ball.
  • Quarterback (QB) Runs: The QB cannot run past the line of scrimmage unless  the ball has been handed off to them first.
  • Passing: All players are eligible to receive a pass, including the center. The QB  usually has a 7-second "pass clock" to either throw or hand off the ball.
  • No Fumbles: If the ball hits the ground (e.g., a bad snap or dropped lateral), the  play is dead and the ball is spotted where it landed.

Blocking & Contact

  • No Contact: Tackling is replaced by flag pulling. Defenders "tackle" the ball carrier by pulling off one or both flags from their belt.
  • No Blocking: Teammates cannot run ahead to block or set screens for the ball carrier. Defenders also cannot be impeded or pushed.
  • Flag Guarding: Ball-carriers cannot use their hands, arms, or the ball to swat  away defenders or shield their flags.

Defense & Rushing

  • The Rush Line: Many leagues require defenders rushing the QB to start 7 yards  off the line of scrimmage. If the offense hands the ball off, any defender can  cross the line immediately.
  • Interceptions: An interception is awarded 3 points for the defense, and they will  start with the ball at the 40-yard line on offense. If an interception happens on extra  point the ball is dead.

TIE BREAKER in PLAYOFFS

  • A. Any game that ends in a tie in the playoffs will use the following format. There will  be a coin toss at the beginning of the tie breaker with the home team calling the  toss. The winner will choose to be on offense or defense.

  • C. Interception would end the game (not on a 2pt conversion).
  • D. If a team scores TD they will have a choice of taking 1 pt or going for 2 from the 10  yd line
  • E. This process will continue until a winner is declared. To start the 2nd OT teams  will switch Offense & Defense to start
